10 Weird things about me.
There's a lot of memes floating around, but I wanted one that delves in to the things that make me different from others. I think our oddities make us interesting and colorful.
Tagging? I'm not tagging anyone. I don't expect anyone will do this other than me anyhow.
1. Name something on your desk that probably nobody else has.
Purel Hand Sanitizer. I'm very finicky about clean hands.
2. Name one strange habit you have.
I eat fast. Not just fast, but almost psycho-someone's-gonna-steal-my-food-fast. A hold-over from the military. It's hard to cover-up sometimes.
3. What is the strangest book you have?
The Religion of the Mithras Cult in the Roman Empire: Mysteries of the Unconquered Sun
by Roger Beck
4. What is the strangest game you've played (and enjoyed).
Viva Pinata for the x360.
5. Do you have any strange family history? Characters, events, etc?
My father is one of the grand-pooba mason's in the nation. He was Uber-mason in Oregon a couple/ few times or something. His father was too and so on going back through the years. I'm not a mason.
6. Do you have any strange food hatreds? Favorites?
I can and often do eat the same thing day after day. I get on a certain kick, and that's all I'll eat for that meal. It was eggos for a while: every day I had a few eggos for breakfast, no syrup, just butter. For months.
7. Do you have any strange mannerisms, quirks?
Lots. I tend to be a toucher: shiny things sitting around. I have to pick them up and fiddle with them. Keys, shiny baubles, anything interesting I'll usually pick it up and fiddle with it (there are exceptions and I'm usually good about asking before touching). My wife calls me Tasslehoff.
8. What about compulsions? Anything you just HAVE to do?
I don't mix up my food. Everything is separate. Touching I can mostly deal with, but I never mix up my foods (gravy/ mashed taters, etc.) (I do have a couple odd exceptions to this).
9. Where is the weirdest place you've been?
Strip club in Rio de Janero where they have live sex acts/ donkey shows. Vile really.
10. Do you have any strange beliefs? Superstitions?
When I stir things I often pay attention to whether I'm going clockwise or counter...then halfway through switch directions. Gotta balance things out.

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you. I may bend the rules and tag a few more - I am curious about you all!
(updated, I'm not tagging anyone. If you feel like doing this, please feel free to do so.)
1. My initial influences on artwork were Liz Danforth, Larry Elmore and Dennis Beuvais.
2. I was in a vehicle roll-over accident in which I dislocated both shoulders.
3. I have absolutely no artistic training at all. (yeah, it shows)
4. I've always been a bit rebellious: joined the Navy to get out of the house when I was 17.
5. I pick up languages and dialects extremely fast. I tend to blend in quickly because I pick up speech habits of those around me (try me in a room with folks with a southern drawl or any sort of accent.)
6. I have moved a grand total of 25 times in 20 years.
7. I dropped out of High School my Sophomore year.
8. I eventually attended college after getting my GED through the Navy. I attended Clark College and Washington State University. My goal was to be a Clinical Psychologist.
9. While I play violent games and have been a soldier, infantryman as well as martial artist for 18 years...I'm extremely non-violent.
10. I have ADD and have been on Ritalin since I was was a kid up until a few years ago (secretly while in the service).
11. I have no interest in having kids.
12. I tend to be a creature of habit.
13. While I tend sometimes to be fairly liberal, I believe that is due to recent conservative attitudes prevailing. I consider myself a moderate, believing in balance in all things, and freedom and equality for all, even those who I consider fucktards.
14. My internet connectivity and geekdom predates the internet. I used to be a bit of a phreak and bigtime BBS user in the 80's. I've made my own blackbox a few times.
15. I could eat tacos 3-4 times a week.
16. I am currently really torn on moving from Wisconsin. The cold is hard on me.
17. I have no intention of staying in the gaming industry (tabletop) for any longer than I have to. I consider the tabletop gaming industry to be full of opinionated hacks ("experts") who know everything and are often extremely unprofessional. In a lot of ways the Tabletop Gaming industry is like Minor League Baseball. (There are some good people out there to work with, but it takes effort sometimes to find em)
18. I haven't painted a miniature in almost 5 months.
19. People that know me in person and online tend to know I'm the same in both places. I consider that a complement. Nothing worse than someone who is a big arrogant asshole online, then a big puss in person. That = Coward in my book.
20. I enjoy going to conventions because I get to see friends I only get to see at certain times of the year...at conventions.
21. I believe in ghosts because we had one at our old house in Washington. Absolutely No DOUBT.
22. My greatest fear is to be forgotten.
23. I can get along with almost any canine. It's freakish.
24. I have been bald since 2000. I CAN grow hair, I'm just lazy when it comes to ...hair.
25. I place the highest value in GENUINE people. People who play to be something they aren't annoy me bigtime. Best advice I can give anyone is to just be yourself.
